Summer Selections

Ahhh, summer’s almost here! Summer has a different feel- like everything should be lighter and slower. Even if the work and busyness of daily life doesn’t slow down much, we can incorporate some things to bring us back to the long, warm nights of our childhood. Below are things I’m looking forward to incorporating in my summer celebrating.

  1. The Gilmore Girls: Official Cookbook. This looks like so much fun! As a lover of the series, I can’t wait to dive into the familiar recipes and see if we can’t bring a little Stars Hollow to Florida this summer.

  2. Cotton Blanket. I love a light cotton blanket in the summer while I’m reading or watching movies on the sofa. This looks like a great option!

  3. Book Lovers by Emily Henry. I LOVE Emily Henry books. They are the perfect companion to beach and pool days. This latest read features two rivals in the book industry as they navigate a small town and big changes over the course of a summer.

  4. Beach Chair. My old favorite is finally beyond repair and this updated option just arrived! I'm hoping to love the attached umbrella (one less thing to carry!) to keep me out of the worst of the sun.

  5. Kite. I don’t know that I’ve attempted to fly a kite since elementary school, but this one from Hearth and Hand is adorable.

  6. Popsicle Molds. There is nothing more refreshing than a homemade ice pops. Danielle Walker’s recipes are always favorites of mine!

  7. Rug. Why not add a splash of color with a fun outdoor rug? Rugs help define spaces, add to the overall coziness and can work to tie themes and colors together.

  8. Jumpsuit. This. Full stop. As a child of the 90s, I don’t know that I can fully explain my love of overalls- they make me so incredibly happy. This pair is light-weight and perfect for warm weather. I have purchased these in three colors and plan on wearing them for the rest of my life.
